Sending traffic to a website is key for any business online. What ways can you build web site traffic? If your website is new, building traffic usually takes time to gain an audience. Google, is very considerate towards mature sites and you'll have a better chance of being found in search engines. Below are tips I've been learning to help increase traffic to websites by using free methods. If you have tips that you'd like to share on this I'd love to hear them.
* Posting on forums- build relationships on forums and social networks online. Always remember to put the name of your website in your signatures.
* This is a MUST! Keyword research, Search Engine Optimization and writing quality content
* Social Bookmarking
* Obtain back links by commenting on blogs that are related to your niche. In order to prevent spamming, make sure you leave relevant comments. The easiest way I've learned to find blogs that will give you backlinks, is to use Yahoo! Type in the search box with quotes, "U comment I follow" and your keyword term
* Submit quality content on article directories (effective method to get backlinks)
* Submit your sites to major search engines
* Join Traffic Exchange Programs (use with caution)
